Primary directions – the new astrological methods are well forgotten old ones
Primary directions - the astrological technique of the ancient people, hat only famous persons and the aristocracy could afford using, that was abandoned and almost forgotten for ages but now has a modern application.
So, let us imagine briefly one kind of technique, which is nowadays used extremely rarely in astrological circles but whose results are really impressive. These are the so-called primary directions. What I am talking about is the application of clear and precise mathematical methods for analyses of past events from a person’s life as well as sufficiently precise calculation of the probabilities for occurring of similar future events.
It is very important to emphasize the fact that the development of that field of scientific astrology is linked not only with the acknowledged world schools but it has a Bulgarian contribution as well.
In this resume I will avoid strictly professional terms, since my aim here is to popularize this kind of technique among bigger audience.
In the beginning I must remind several alphabetical truths.
The first one refers to the whole astrology and says that a geocentric model is used; in other words it is accepted that the Earth is in the Space centre and all the other objects rotate around it. Of course, in fact this is not the truth, but for the person on the Earth it is logically correct, although it is only relatively true.
The second alphabetical truth refers to this kind of technique exactly and says that the technique relies on the real movement of space objects, studying and applying the laws of interrelations among them.
Here we accept the clear symbolism that the influences people undergo during the first 24 hours after their birth as a result of the rotation of the Earth around its axes, are equivalent to those influences that they will undergo during whole their lives and at the same time we are concerned with the movement of the Earth along its orbits around the Sun as well as with the movement of all the other space objects.
Figuratively speaking, straight after we are born, we make a basic 'look-over' of the whole Space and we get a concise idea of its basic, 'primary' influences.
These influences in fact, according to the Astrological science, appear to be the basic directions of our whole life, when we change our view point and the rhythm of the time in our already well-known normal life.
What is more, only the first six hours after the birth are important, because they correspond to a normal duration of a person’s life of about 90 years. Consequently, in 4 minutes from this first 24 hours we can identify the influences, causing the corresponding events in the span of one year of our life! It is this interrelation that allows to point out not only the prerequisites for the occurrence of these events in the span of the year but also to point out the probable culminating points with their exact dates! This is the reason for the big difference in the precision between the primary directions technique and all the other techniques, developed after it.
Probably you have already found by yourself the answer to the question why that extremely reliable, but difficult for manual calculations astrological technique did not have first place in the ancient times among others, less reliable but much easier and quicker for calculation techniques. However, the major difficulty in its use is not the calculation difficulty, because of which in the past only the aristocracy could afford using it.
The basic problem appears to be its super-high sensitivity in prognosticating events, in reference with the changing of the birth time. Everybody can calculate by themselves what incompatibility in the time of the probable future events we will get if we have a possible imprecision of 16 minutes, for example. These are whole 4 years! Speaking clearly – in case we use primary directions not only the date and the hour of birth are important, but also the minutes and the seconds after it. If so minute inexactness, can lead to so fatal incompatibilities in the final results, we can understand why this kind of prognosticating technique is so rarely known and used. A lot of famous astrological schools have developed and are developing entirely different trends, which do not require such a precise rectification of the moment of our birth, as, for example, symbolic directions, progressions and transits. A review of the efficiency of prognosticating with these will be given in another article, now I can only say that the comparison is not in favor of the other techniques, widely used in Bulgaria as well.
The solving of the problem if such a precision of the birth time is possible lies in the using of the great possibilities of the Primary directions technique for reverse calculations itself and the corresponding mathematical methods and algorithms. The fact that we live in the 21 century is also important. Thus, complex mathematical calculations, done in pre-computer era for days or weeks, now take the modern PCs less than a second.
The methods for rectification of the birth time are several and can be used either alone or better – together. The most understandable, reliable and provable is that of the life event rectification (rectifying the birth time according to past life events).
For those, who are interested in that clear but comparatively complex for realization method, it will be tackled in another article in the same popular style, in which I will share my experience not only about its advantages but also about the difficulties I have had for the several recent years, working with it.
